Google’s way of finding Pagelinks and PageRanks

If there is a link to your web page in another page then you get one page link. The more number of links to your pages will decide your performance in Google search engine and increase your page rank.

To increase the page rank many techniques are tried by the web marketing teams like link farming .Link farm increase links to the page and hence increase the page rank. This method can be beneficial to your website marketing but can also create a negative impact on your web promotion campaign. Your website can be penalized for opting improper methodology for web marketing by the search engines.

Generally , a probability number is used to calculate the page rank of a page from the number of inbound and outbound links present on the page i.e. PR(A) = (1-d) + d(PR(t1)/C(t1) + … + PR(tn)/C(tn)) PR is Page rank.

It is said that this equation is used to get the page rank but at times it can vary. There are also many other factors that effect your page ranks. Google filters the links from many known link farm. Hence, your web site should not get links from such outbound sites.

If you get a link from a website high in page rank then you are benefited more than a link from a page low in page rank. You are also benefited from the links by the pages of your site.

Your page rank can change if you have many outbound links and less inbound links. So you should take care of the number outbound and inbound links from your website pages. Outbound links lowers your Page Rank .To counter the drain you should have a reciprocal links from those links.

As page links are important for a Search Engine Optimization you should keep a check on it. Generally a standardize website link URL, you should use for your website.
